Chris Harrison revealed he was shocked just like any other person in the Bachelor Nation to learn about the relationship issues between Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood. The 49-year-old host spoke about the couple amid the drama and said that he reached the couple for support.
While Harrison said that he hasn’t directly spoken with the pair yet, he is glad that both of them are taking the drama off-screen. It seemed that the couple knows how to take care of their relationship without exposing their private matters in media.
The host is happy that the pair is taking the entire relationship issue privately and dealing with it in a "smart" way. Harrison said that he wishes Randolph and Underwood well for their future together as the current situation seems unfortunate.
"It's a very unfortunate situation for sure, and I think a surprising one. Honestly, it was a pretty shocking headline," he explained. Last month the 25-year-old television personality received a temporary restraining order as she filed a request followed by domestic violence.
The former Bachelor contestant was granted the order against Underwood after their split in May. The couple were together for over a year and even after their split in May, a source revealed that the pair wanted to stay as friends.
However, the announcement of their breakup seemed mutual and easy-going but somehow things got dirty when the ex-couple started to talk about each other on Instagram regarding their separation. A source disclosed to ET that Randolph allegedly found in her car a suspicious device, which turned out to be a tracking gadget.
Moreover, she used to receive a weird text from an anonymous number. Apparently, the 28-year-old was confronted by Randolph and eventually he confessed everything. The source further said that Underwood went to Colorado for regrouping but when Randolph learned about it, she immediately filed for a restraining order.
The source said that whatever happened between them was "serious" and made her upset. Although The Bachelor star is now focusing on her schoolwork and her own self in order to move on.
As per the court documents, Underwood has been ordered to not come within 100 yards of Randolph's presence that include her school, vehicle, workplace, and home. The request was filed as soon as Underwood was coming to Los Angeles. The hearing of the case is slated to be held on Oct. 6.
