It is no secret that Keeping Up with the Kardashians had lost its luster after over a decade in the spotlight. The premise of the show, which revolves around the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, was obsolete with each starring sister moving on to their new ventures, careers and focusing more on their families.

As a result, there was no longer a unified family for KUWTK fans to watch, with some loyal fans suggesting that ending the show was simply a matter of admitting that things have changed and the family members are no longer what the viewers have watched them be throughout the past few years. Other fans, however, accuse the family drama of ripping the hit reality show apart.

Fans have been anticipating the end of the show for quite some time; however, they were shocked when Kim Kardashian West announced that it will be coming to an end after its 20th season on her Instagram account. Loyal KUWTK fans took to Reddit recently to share memories of the show, and analyze what led to its end.

One fan said earlier seasons featured several family members, ensuring that the viewers didn't feel like they were getting too much of one person. The fan went on to point at Rob and Caitlyn's exit from the show, rare appearances of Kendall and Kylie, coupled with Kourtney's lack of interest in sharing her life on cameras was where it all started to fall apart.

The perceptive fan explained that a lot of people loved watching the show because it wasn't a typical family show. It is widely believed that the show strayed too far from its roots, which led to its ultimate downfall.

Moreover, the Kardashian sisters grew up. In a cover interview for Vogue Arabia, Kim confessed that she was not focusing on becoming famous anymore, noting that although she loves having a voice and appreciate social media platforms, the KKW Beauty founder wished that she could have more privacy at times.

When the show premiered, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian were young women, living the single life and delighting in being socialites. Kylie and Kendall Jenner were just kids during the first season of KUWTK, but that is not the case anymore as the sisters have found self-identity and independence that was lacking in the earlier seasons of the show.

Now, all the sisters, except Kendall, have children of their own, and they have to protect their children from the prying eyes of paparazzi. On top of that, they have their professional goals to achieve, making it harder for them to stick to a schedule of a reality TV series.
