The 62-year-old Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli is at his game strong in feeding the souls of his music listeners. The world-renowned tenor confirmed on Sept. 30 (Wednesday) that his long-awaited comeback album entitled Believe will put on a superb show on November 13. As per Billboard, Believe will be released under Decca Records/Sugar.
Believe by Andrea Bocelli
"The concept behind 'Believe' is based on three words: faith, hope, and charity," Bocelli said to the press. Furthermore, he stated that the three words he mentioned as the theological virtues of Christianity. If one is under a different religious belief, the three virtues are still the keys that give life meaning and a sense of completeness.
The forthcoming album of Bocelli is co-produced by Haydn Bendall and Steven Mercurio. Additionally, Believe is the collection of encouraging records that have made Bocelli inspired in his life journey. It included two duets with Alison Krauss and opera's finest Cecilia Bartoli for Amazing Grace.
Bocelli participated in arranging and composing his versions of Padre Nostro and Ave Maria for Believe. The matter made Bocelli share his sentiments about being called as a composer. He said that he solely doesn't consider himself as a composer, but since he is a musician, he couldn't sometimes deny that melodies pop out of his mind. Every time harmonies come to his mind, and it leads him to put it all on the music sheet.
The vast announcement comes a few months after Bocelli's uplifting Music for Hope Easter performance at the iconic and historic Milan Duomo Cathedral. The said performance earned over 2.8 million views, making it one of the most significant musical live broadcast performances of the music's history.
"Music that knocks on the door of my soul and which I gladly welcome and then set free by putting pen to paper," he added.
