Meghan Markle is, allegedly, ready to face her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., in court if that’s what’s needed.
According to Heat UK, Markle could make an explosive return to the United Kingdom early next year to give evidence in her multi-million-pound lawsuit against Mail on Sunday.
A source said that the whole experience will be heartbreaking and difficult for Markle, but she remains unfazed. In fact, Markle is also, allegedly, ready to face her dad in court if that’s what will be required of her.
“Meghan is determined to detail what a devastating impact this has had on her life. Meghan is fully aware that the opposing lawyers have a duty to make their line of questioning uncomfortable for her but that doesn’t faze her. Her attitude is very much ‘bring it on’ – and it goes without saying that Harry is backing her every step of the way,” the source said.
Months ago, Markle filed a lawsuit against Mail on Sunday after they published her private letters to her dad. The Duchess of Sussex said that this was an intrusion of her privacy.
Last week, the publication asked to update their written defense after the authors of Finding Freedom published excerpts from the same letter that Markle wrote to her father.
Before the book was published, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand said that they didn’t interview the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This means that they also published excerpts from the letter without the couple’s consent.
Meanwhile, the source also told Heat UK that Markle wants her friends to stop talking about her publicly especially in the next couple of months. But her best friend, Jessica Mulroney recently talked about the Suits alum and their friendship.
Mulroney denied the claims that Markle froze her out after she was accused of being racist. The former Good Morning America host said that she and Markle are like family.
“She would have preferred it if Jessica kept quiet. But ultimately, she didn’t have much say in the matter,” the source said.
As of late, Markle has not commented on her friendship with Mulroney. And she hasn’t also revealed her plans for the court hearing next year. As such, it is important to note that some of the claims made by the tabloids are just based on hearsays.
