Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sparked rumors that they will be headlining a reality TV show on Netflix.
Just weeks after their partnership with the streaming platform was announced, there are claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will appear in a fly in a wall program for Netflix.
The head of Netflix already denied the rumors, saying that Prince Harry and Markle won’t be headlining their own reality TV show. However, the head refused to reveal what kinds of programs that Sussexes will produce.
As of late, the only known information about their partnership with Netflix is that Markle and Prince Harry’s projects with the streaming platform will be released starting next year.
However, New Idea is still convinced that Prince Harry and Markle would be replacing the Kardashian-Jenner clan after Kim Kardashian announced that Keeping Up With the Kardashians will be canceled after Season 20.
But upon closer inspection, the magazine didn’t provide much information as to why they think the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will replace the Kardashian-Jenner clan. New Idea simply rehashed the information that the other publications wrote about the couple.
“They may have had all these lofty ideas about producing epics highlighting environmental causes and the poverty gap, but Netflix obviously wants their pound of flesh. It will all be very tasteful, and not Katie Price and Peter Andre-style reality TV, but they want to give people a glimpse into their lives and see all the charity work they do. Much of the docuseries will be about their philanthropy, rather than what they get up to behind closed doors. But it will still be a fascinating insight and Meghan hopes viewers will get to see the real her,” a source told The Sun earlier this week.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward slammed Prince Harry and Markle over their alleged reality TV show and claimed that the couple is hypocritical.
“We were told they had gone to California for greater privacy so it all appears rather hypocritical. It is extraordinary. This is exactly what they said they wouldn’t do. The more they talk about themselves the more people will want them to do just that and won’t be interested in anything else they have to offer,” Seward said.
But after Prince Harry and Markle’s partnership with Netflix was announced, the couple also released a statement saying that their programs will be inspirational.
