It seems that Prince William and Kate Middleton are stepping up in order to make up for a blunder committed by Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle.
According to Express UK, Harry and Meghan were asked by the Australian Rural Fire Services if they could name one of their air tankers after their son, Archie. But instead of being honored with the request, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex refused, saying that their son is not part of public life. Because of their decision, royal expert Angela Mollard blasted the couple and called their actions a massive snub to Australia. The air tankers were of great help during the bushfires that devastated many parts of the country. The sweet gesture from the royal fire service was requested because it was in Australia when actress Meghan announced that she was pregnant with their firstborn child.
Kate and William were already planning to visit Australia after the bushfires were put out. Those plans would have to be put on hold due to the pandemic that is spreading all over the world. They did announce that their royal foundation will do all they can to support all the frontline health workers battling the coronavirus, as reported in Town and Country Mag.
Meanwhile, after refusing the air tanker to be named after their son, Harry and Meghan announced the launching of their new brand, Archewell. Critics may say that their refusal may have had something to do with their brand, as it is very similar to Archie's name.
But the couple had already explained that Archewell has ben thought of even before Sussex Royal and that it actually inspired them to name their son Archie, and not the other way around. No date has been announced regarding the launch of Archewell, as Harry and Meghan want the focus to be on beating the pandemic.
In the meantime, we finally get some news about Harry and Meghan and their new life in LA. The pair were spotted walking their dogs, the first time they are photographed since moving to the US. Aside from that, the couple had apparently volunteered to serve in the charity organization Project Angel Food. Upon knowing that their drivers were overwhelmed with the workload, Harry and Meghan called the charity and volunteered to drive meals to those who are suffering from critical illness. The director of Project Angel Food says that the couple is planning to volunteer again next week.
