World Wrestling Entertainment legend and Hollywood megastar Dwayne Johnson is set to make headlines again with the sport that launched his into the skies of glory and stardom. This time, however, it won’t be the brand where he spent almost every bit of his in-ring career.
The Rock will rather appear on IMPACT Wrestling which is another major wrestling promotion company. The Rock’s special debut on IMPACT Wrestling will take place next month in the mid. As one would expect, it’s no mini-event, it’s a mega, bicep-big event.
MMA and pro-wrestling legend, Ken Shamrock has been announced as one of the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame inductees. In this regard, the World’s Most Dangerous Man reached out to the Electrifying One for his appearance as he receives the big honor.
Via a tweet, addressing DJ as a brother, Shamrock said that he would love to have The Rock stand by his side at the induction. The wrestling vet also acknowledged that his time with DJ was one of the most cherishable memories in his entire career.
To Shamrock’s tweet, DJ responded in the most affectionate manner saying that he would “take care of this” and sort it out by the end of the week.
The feelings are reciprocal. Both The Rock and Shamrock speak highly of each other no matter which business or brand they are working for. As per DJ, Shamrock is one of the most influential personalities in all of the wrestling industry. On the other hand, Shamrock has always been very expressive of his appreciation for the big man.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be organized in Bound For Glory on October 24. Since DJ will be gracing the event with his presence, the IMPACT HoF induction of Shamrock will feature clips from his earlier career as part of a deal with WWE with the main focus on his cut-throat battles with The Rock.
Ken Shamrock is the TNA’s first-ever world champion who has proved his mettle in the arena from time to time. The Rock and Ken Shamrock have shared the WWE ring during the famous Attitude Era. They battle each other in a historic match over the Intercontinental Title held by Johnson at the time.
The great even got even better with The Rock’s participation in it – and Shamrock must be excited to reunite with his “brother.” An unmissable treat for all the wrestling buffs out there!
