Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle are heavily criticized over the latest political move calling U.S. voters to participate in the "most important election" in a video message.
Prince Harry previously noted that he has no plans in applying for dual citizenship or a Green Card after relocating to the U.S., however, like anyone moving to the U.S., Harry will eventually have to choose in what capacity he will stay in the country. With Markle being a U.S. citizen, she can easily sponsor the Duke of Sussex to become a Green Cardholder. This option will grant the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana indefinite leave to remain in the U.S.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex packed their bags and moved to Los Angeles after they officially withdrew from their senior royal roles at the end of March.
Now, Prince Harry seemingly hinted that he’s interested in becoming a U.S. citizen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke about the upcoming presidential election in their debut TV appearance.
“This election, I’m not going to be able to vote here in the US. But many of you may not know that I haven’t been able to vote in the UK my entire life,” Prince Harry said.
Meanwhile, Meghan said, “When we vote, our values are put into action, and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you matter — because you do — and you deserve to be heard.”
In response to Meghan and Prince Harry's call urging Americans to vote in the 2020 presidential election, Trump insulted the couple saying “I’m not a fan of hers ... and she probably has heard that. But I wish a lot of luck to Harry, 'cause he’s gonna need it.”
Trump’s former campaign advisor Corey Lewandowski urged the couple to leave the US, “They made Britain great again by leaving, I hope they do the same for us.”
Royal fans believe that Prince Harry is giving away a clue that he’s gearing up to vote in the next election. If the Duke of Sussex will be granted U.S. citizenship, he would be able to vote in 2024.
However, Prince Harry and his wife's move gained heavily criticism.
Prince Harry poking his woke nose into the US election & effectively telling Americans to vote against President Trump is completely unacceptable behaviour for a member of the Royal Family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle initially wanted to split their time between the U.S. and the U.K. However, it seems like their recent move is suggesting that they will not go back to Britain anytime soon. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex just purchased their first home together in the city of Santa Barbara, California.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle secretly moved to their multimillion-dollar property last month, according to their spokesperson. A source shared that the couple was planning to stay there long term.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly agreed to pay 32,000 pounds ($43,000) a month in mortgage for the next 30 years. This seems to be enough proof to confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to live in Montecito is not temporary.
A royal expert previously said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix deal will make it impossible for them to return to the U.K. Duncan Larcombe noted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's contract is the "biggest development" in their process to sever ties with the Royal Family.
