J.K. Rowling has found herself once again in a scandalous post, the ‘Harry Potter’ author has been making headlines in the past month after she has expressed her opinion on Translives.
The author came under fire at first after she retweeted a news story that had the headline of ‘people who menstruate, which she then condemned and tweeted ‘women’ to counter what the headline said.
Now, she has once again made another blunder after posting a photo of her wearing a t-shirt ‘Thie Witch Does Not Burn’, which may be a subtle attack to all her haters who have been threatening her and claiming that she anti-LGBTQ+.
J.K. Rowling then added in the caption the link of the online shop, which is where she bought the t-shirt off.
The online shop, which is called Wild Womyn Workshop was combed over by the several haters of J.K. Rowling and finding numerous paraphernalia than is branded as ‘transphobic.’
The ‘Harry Potter’ author was then attacked by hoards of social media users after she posted the pic, calling her a ‘TERF’ – a term that is used as a slur meaning a trans-exclusionary radical feminist.
Wild Womyn Workshop was found to have multiple products that had sayings such as ‘Transactivism is misogyny’, ‘Dead men can’t rape’, and ‘f*ck your pronounce’.
These were just some of the anti-LGBTQ+ products of the site.
Daily Mail online contacted the owner of Wild Womyn Workshop regarding the situation, of which, Angela Wild, the owner responded with “Men are not women, you can’t change sex”.
J.K. Rowling has also come under heavy criticisms after her book, Troubled Blood, written under her pseudonym, Robert Gailbraith, was branded as transphobic.
The book follows the main antagonist, Dennis Creed, who wears women’s clothing to lure women for him to only murder them.
There have been early reviews regarding Troubled Blood, and critics have claimed that it is not transphobic at all. Observer journalist Nick Cohen wrote that is not what the haters claim it is, and that he can’t justify Troubled Blood without giving the ending away.
This has created another thread wherein Nick was attacked for his opinion regarding the book.
According to one twitter user the pattern of which J.K. Rowling has been going with her tweets and her current book, even if Troubled Blood is not transphobic, there is a clear stereotyping the author is pointing at.
J.K. Rowling has yet to release a statement or rebut on all of these claims.
