The most embarrassing moment for a celebrity can only be - when fans don’t see them as a celebrity or fail to recognize them. The acclaimed Australian actor and singer Jason Donovan has had to endure one such moment, though not from fans.
With his debut album "Ten Good Reasons" being the highest-selling album in the year 1989, Jason Donovan has sold over 3 million records in the United Kingdom. The singer has 4 number one songs in the UK. Besides that, Donovan has also had a decent acting career marked with 2014’s "Watch Dogs" and 2019’s "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat."
It’s awkward for a celebrity of his standing to have someone who doesn’t move while making an appearance and it's worse if that someone is also a celebrity. Jason Donovan isn’t the first celebrity who has been left self-conscious. A string of celebrities are not identified by fans, but when celebrities don’t recognize each other, it’s a wholly different matter.
The ITV2 kicks-off tonight with Scarlett Moffatt, Jess Wright, Courtney Act, Melvin Odoom, Luke Kempner, and Tallia Storm putting their singing talent on display for the world to see.
The "Ibiza Weekender" star, David Potts could not recognize the entertainment industry vet and asked a very uncomfortable question that celebrities are not quite used to hear.
David abruptly asked Donovan, “who are you?” The question surprised not only Donovan but also his fans.
While singing out loud the 1989 classic, Jason Donovan makes a surprise entry to sing on the beats of the hit alongside David. Jason’s cameo was evidently delightful to the rest of the cast, but David didn’t seem to get involved in the moment. After awkwardly singing the first few lines, the "Celebs Go Dating" star asks a question mid-performance that must have left Donovan red-faced. The abruptly funny incident is being left behind as it isn't so memorable.
As per a revelation by The Sun, ITV is looking for the replacement of "The X Factor" which isn’t coming out this season due to coronavirus.
A reputable source said, “ITV has always done singing shows and done them well, and with no X Factor on this year they are looking at new formats to fill the gap. Or have a belting singing voice that you’ve been hiding all these years. The twist here is not having a Simon Cowell judging you, but each other.”
The pandemic has brought a large swath of industry to a halt but it seems ITV has found a way - and it promises to be as crazy as it would be in regular seasons.
