Julia Garner is on cloud nine! Yes, the 26-year-old actress won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy for Drama Series. This was the second award the actress won in the same year and she shared her feelings while accepting the honor.

Last year, the actress has been nominated for several honors such as Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics' Choice Television Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for her portrayal in Ozark as Ruth Langmore. However, the actress confessed that she was in a state of shock when she first heard her name announced.

"First, I am shocked, to be honest. I want to show gratitude to all the women in this category. You are the reason why I'm acting in the first place," Garner said as she accepted the award virtually.

She thanked Netflix and the writers of the show for setting the perfect tone that made the Drama series a massive success. She went on to thanked Laura Linney and Jason Bateman and said that she is simply grateful because they took her under their wings.

Garner further said that she learned a lot from Bateman and Linney and that made her a better human in real life. The actress concluded her speech by encouraging words for the audience watching from their respective television screens.

The We Are What We Are star urged everyone to ensure that the world is a better place to live and there is always hope, no matter what. In the end, Garner thanked her husband, Mark Foster, who has always stood tall with her, and during the acceptance, he sat beside the actress.

Others nominated in the same category include Thandie Newton for Westworld, Helena Bonham Carter for her portrayal in The Crown, Samira Wiley for The Handmaid’s Tale, Meryl Streep for Big Little Lies, Sarah Snook for Succession, Fiona Shaw for Killing Eve, and Laura Dern for Big Little Lies.

Although Ozark has been nominated for eighteen more categories of honor. While the popularity of the show has increased throughout the years, the fans have been informed that the final season of the show will be delayed.
