According to the "How I Met Your Mother" actor, the director Wachowski’s style of direction has evidently moved from what that was years ago and what that it now when she is helming the upcoming installment of the Matrix franchise.
Speaking of the Wachowski, Neil said “I think she has a great inclusive energy and her style has shifted visually from what she had done to what she is currently doing.”
When asked to dig deeper into the details of the upcoming movie, the "Gone Girl" actor didn’t seem to be willing to provide more details about the movie. But he did say that the sci-fi drama is going to outshine the previous ones as this is an “ambitious” project.
In addition to that, the actor also confirmed that wirework has been in the use for the stunt scenes in the movie. For those who don’t know, wirework is a stunt-performing technique that was introduced into mainstream Hollywood via the first Matrix movie that released in 1999.
Neil expressed his wish to play the lead role in an influential and prolific Hollywood movie that has action in the front, “wires and stuff.”
The fourth installment was initially expected to be released in the year 2021, but the gushes of the coronavirus like other movies have pushed back the release date by a complete one to April 1, 2022.
The wait is not going to be very comfortable to an impatient audience. However, given the size and innovation that is expected of the movie, the wait may be worth it.
