Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix sparked all sorts of rumors about the kinds of shows they will be producing.
According to several tabloids, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex already have a list of projects lined up. And some of them are at the expense of the royal family.
Woman’s Day was one of the first tabloids to claim that Markle and Prince Harry are producing a documentary on Princess Diana.
The same tabloid claimed that Prince Harry and Markle are producing a follow-up to Netflix’s miniseries, Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich. According to a source, Prince Harry and Markle can easily produce a miniseries on the Duke of York because they have access behind the scenes.
Markle, who is a self-confessed feminist, could also produce a docuseries on women’s issues. She also produces a lifestyle show that will focus on some of her interests like style, parenting, cooking, and home décor.
However, Gossip Cop recently debunked the claims made by the tabloid by saying that none of them are factual.
The rumor-debunking site also busted the tabloid for saying that the shows mentioned above are a list of ideas that they are interested in. To say that they are interested in these shows is different from saying that they will be producing them.
“None of these TV shows are happening, or at least there is no evidence that any of them are anything beyond figments in the tabloid’s imagination. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not given any information about what they will produce, and until they do the tabloid should not “report” a “list of ideas” when the said list is just baseless speculation,” the tabloid said.
As of late, there is still no confirmation as to what shows Prince Harry and Markle are producing. But one of the heads at Netflix said that the shows will be some of their best programs in 2021.
In a statement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also vowed to produce shows that are inspirational. After all, they said that this is the kind of programming that they want to see and what they want their son to see when he gets older.
