Robert Fenty, Rihanna's father thought he was gonna die after testing positive for COVID-19. But with his daughter Rihanna's help, he is now virus-free.
Page Six reports that the 'Umbrella' singer sent a ventilator right away to her father once she learned of his diagnosis. Fenty says he is thankful for his daughter and that she has done so much for him. He went on to say that he loved his daughter very much.
He was also quick to remind everyone that the pandemic is a serious thing. He wanted people to know that it can kill and that it is safer to just stay at home. Rihanna's father was staying at the Paragon Isolation Center for two weeks before he recovered from the virus.
The Barbadian singer has always been honest about her estrangement from her father. She grew up seeing him abuse her mother. His addiction to drugs also caused many problems in their home life in Barbados.
Time passed and the singer was able to forgive her father for all his misgivings. But in January of 2019, she filed a lawsuit against him. She claims that her father is using her brand, Fenty, to exploit many businesses out of their money. IT seems that Robert Fenty is claiming that his own business, Fenty Entertainment was associated with Rihanna's. But even this new development did not stop Rihanna from sending the much-needed ventilator to her father.
The singer has been busy trying to help as many people as she can during the coronavirus pandemic. She has already donated a lot of many to several charities and has even given PPEs to the state of New York, which prompted Governor Andrew Cuomo to thank her.
Her latest project, according to the Daily Mail has her teaming up with none other than rapper Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter. Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation will be working with the Shawn Carter Foundation to give aid to areas all over the world, including the US, Africa, and the Caribbean. Some of the organizations that will be receiving aid include Doctor Without Borders and Covenant House New Orleans. Together, they have raised more than $6 million dollars.
Earlier in the week, Rihanna also teamed up with Dorsey to raise more than $4 million dollars in aid of domestic violence victims in Los Angeles, where there seem to be almost 100 people who are turned away from domestic violence shelters weekly.
