Princess Beatrice, reportedly, managed to give Queen Elizabeth’s Royal Collection Trust its much-needed lifeline after her royal wedding.
According to Hello! magazine, Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding gown will be put on display at Windsor’s Crimson and Green Drawing rooms, as well as the State Dining Room. The gown will be on display from September 24 to November 22.
Visitors will finally be allowed entry into the grounds of Windsor, which means that the royal family will receive income from their guests.
“The full-skirted silhouette was softened to give a more contemporary, simplified shape, and the underskirt and petticoats were recreated and bound with silk tulle. Short sleeves of triple organza and embroidered with vintage diamante to match the original Hartnell embroidery design. Each alteration made to the dress is reversible,” the Royal Collection Trust said in a statement.
Queen Elizabeth lent the gown to Princess Beatrice on her wedding day. And according to royal experts, the move signifies just how much the queen adores her granddaughter.
Despite her old age and fears that she could contact COVID-19, the queen still attended Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding in July. She was joined by her husband, Prince Philip, 99.
According to Princess Beatrice’s friend, the royal shares a special bond with the queen. And Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter also talks about her grandmother a lot.
“Beatrice talks about her grandmother often, and it’s clear there’s a strong bond there — the dress and the tiara could not have been more perfect,” the source said.
According to People, the queen also served as the guest of honor at Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s royal wedding.
“It was all about the Queen's schedule. The queen was the guest of honor, and it was very important that she was there,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice also made headlines recently amid claims that she could be already be expecting her first child. After her honeymoon in France in Italy, Princess Beatrice, reportedly, went straight to a baby store.
Eagle-eyed royal fans also claim to have noticed Princess Beatrice’s growing baby bump. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. And it is important to note that royal pregnancies come straight from the palace or the royals themselves.
