Former U.S. President Barack Obama is making a comeback to interact with the public via his first presidential memoir that is scheduled to release in the month of November. The memoir will go on air two weeks following the showdown between 2020 presidential incumbents Donald Trump and Vice President from his own course of presidency Joe Biden. So to all those who thought it was a move made considering politics, it’s not right.
The first volume of his memoir is titled A Promise Land which is well suggestive of what it may be referring to. Many consider America to be the land of dream, opportunities, and a place where imaginations come true. One of the important subscribers of this thought is multi-billionaire and Tesla’s unorthodox CEO Elon Musk.
Back to Obama, former POTUS’ A Promise Land will release on November 13 via Crown which is an imprint of Penguin Random House.
Barack and Michelle Obama signed this multi-book deal with Crown right after the end of his second term in office and departure from the White House back in 2017. The deal is worth a whopping $65 million which is an improbable number for many book authors including the ones who have paid their due in the writing industry.
The first volume of the memoir will delve into Obama’s early life and his incredible start in politics with bits from his personal stance of his family, life, career, and vision. Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, is the first President of Black origin – which is itself a monumental feat to achieve in a country like the United States where there has been an uncomfortable tension between the Black and White groups. As well as, the visibility of minorities in the society was and is still an important question that the nation needs to address at the earliest.
About the upcoming piece, Obama said, “There’s no feeling like finishing a book, and I’m proud of this one. I’ve spent the last few years reflecting on my presidency, and in ‘A Promised Land’ I’ve tried to provide an honest accounting of my presidential campaign and my time in office.”
As per Obama, the book will center around all the major events that launched him into the skies of glories – the mistakes he made, the struggle, economic, and cultural forces that drove and shaped him the way he is.
All in all, it’s a book that shows what it takes to be influential, and Barack Obama is the one who can't be miscued as far as rise is concerned.
