Now that they are no longer senior members of the royal family, journalists from all over the world are clamoring for an interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Earlier this week, it was reported that an offer of 1 million dollars has been made to the couple in exchange for a tell-all interview regarding what it's like to be in the royal family. Surely this amount might be deemed too small by many, but for the couple who are seeking to be financially independent of the royals, they just might find the offer to be tempting.
But, in a report from Express UK, royal expert Angela Mollard says that such a move from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be disastrous. The warns that the result would be likened to that of a car crash.
She says that it is dangerous for the couple to grant such interviews. We can take it from the example of Princess Diana, who gave an interview after her divorce from Prince Charles was finalized. People were able to sympathize with the Princess of Wales because there was truth to the fact that she was a victim in the situation.
But the same cannot be said for Meghan. First of all, says Mollard, people do not feel the same way about Meghan as they did Diana. She was not able to charm the public and they hold no affection for her.
Add to the fact that it was Meghan and Harry who made the decision to step down and transition to non-royal life. People might not be so quick to forgive the actress if ever she will consent to the interview.
The couple did not just leave the royal family, but the country altogether. They stayed in Canada for a while before moving to LA where it looks like they will be staying for the time being. They have not talked about specific plans that they will do, but they have made the name of their upcoming brand public. Archewell is the name of their brand, which is from the Greek word which means strength and action.
Meanwhile, the couple had not been seen yet in public since they moved to the US. But, Town and Country Mag reports that Prince Harry was able to chat with people from WellChild during Easter Sunday. Some are speculating whether the room Harry was in was a part of their home in LA.
