The megastar of Hollywood, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is as much of a family man as he is an actor and wrestler. The big man keeps his social media lit up with his family photos and videos often featuring his kids – one of who likes him to sing lullabies and the other is boosted by him for her career.
But in the life of a gentleman, there may come moments where he is rendered speechless by a flow of emotions or doesn’t know what to say, to be precise – and this is exactly what happened when Johnson attended his father's funeral ceremony. His father late Rocky Johnson was a world-famous professional wrestler who died earlier this year on January 15.
With the latest episode of his YouTube series Behind the Lens, the wrestler-turned-actor sheds light on what exactly happened with him during his father’s funeral ceremony.
As per the actor, he didn’t know what to say for his father’s eulogy, so he jotted down a few bits of his life and delivered the funeral speech after two hours. Johnson was overwhelmed with a variety of emotions that he could put the right words at the right place to describe the glory of his incredible father.
But Johnson took to Instagram to write and share a big note dedicated to his father – his career, legacy, and personality. The long post points out The Rock’s gratitude for his father, everything he did, and all that he set for generations to come.
A part of the caption reads, “Paving the way for me, my family and generations to come. You loved us with the capacity of which you could."
Behind the Lens provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Johnson’s new book titled: The Rock: Through the Lens: His Life, His Movies, His World. The movie comes out in collaboration with the Moana star’s longtime partner, photographer, and collaborator, Hiram Garcia.
The book features some clips that were deliberately given by Johnson and a lot more show the actor when he was unaware he was on camera – which makes it a pretty interesting idea - to capture one’s genuinely nice essence and present it to their fans who want to know all about them.
Recently, Johnson and his family tested positive for coronavirus, but now they are safe and the big man is even back to finish the shoot of his upcoming Netflix movie Red Notice.
