Much to the chagrin of the fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the hit reality show is coming to an end after 20 long seasons. While the famous family claims they were tired of it, a source suggests it was Kris Jenner who decided to pull the plug due to Kanye West's unpredictable behavior.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which revolved around the influential Kardashian family is slated to go off the air in 2021. While the huge fanbase of the popular reality show muse over their favorite KUWTK moments, a source has alleged that show is coming to an end due to Momager Kris Jenner's fear of the rapper causing irreversible damage to the iconic brand.
West, who raised several eyebrows by announcing his unexpected presidential run earlier this year, has been through a lot of challenges, including his wife Kim Kardashian's alleged decision to split from him. The episode triggered a series of rants on Twitter where West dubbed "Kris Jong-un" and "white supremacist."
While Kanye and Kim have managed to retain their relationship, a source told The Sun that Kris "pulled the plug" on the successfully running series in the wake of her fears of Kanye negatively impacting the brand reputation. The source went on to explain that Kris had to discontinue the show before the rapper will cause "irreversible damage" to the brand.
The insider also claimed that Kanye's behavior became "uncontrollable." Furthermore, the outlet's source also claimed that Kanye and Kris continuously argue over where the show was heading towards and other production-related concerns.
The insider claims Kris wasn't willing to let anybody else take the reins, while another source close to the events suggested the claims were fake. A source told Page Six, expressed similar sentiments, telling the outlet that Kanye did not influence the decision to end the show.
Moreover, the source informed the outlet that they were exclusively and emphatically told that West's mental health did not play a role in the decision to go off the air. The rapper's struggles with bipolar disorder are no secret, and it even promoted Kim to come out in his defense as he worked to get better, the source told the media portal.
The huge fanbase of KimYe is disappointed with the show coming to an end, and the rumor mill hasn't ceased churning out all sorts of speculations surrounding the reason behind Kris' decision to pulling the plug.
