The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been making waves since their decision to uproot their life from London to America. The decision of the royal couple to break free from the British royal institution has shocked millions of people, the couple who married back in 2018 were part of the royal firm for just two years before deciding to forego their royal responsibilities.

The couple made headlines in the past week after they signed a megawatt deal with the streaming giant, Netflix. The deal, which has become one of the biggest contracts this year has excited many people.
Reed Hasting, Netflix co-founder and co-CEO joined CNBC for an interview wherein he discusses the recent deal struck with his company and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
In the interview, Hastings expressed his excitement and joy on having the royals on board the company. He spoke of the couple being producers for shows and foresees that the projects by the couple will be extremely popular on Netflix.
Hastings also revealed the Harry and Meghan were ‘shopping’ around major Hollywood executives before signing with Netflix.

The billionaire CEO was asked in the interview how much the deal with the Sussex’s was worth, but Hastings declined to comment on the topic.
Rumors have been circulating that the couple got a $100 to a $150 million deal with Netflix, making them one of the biggest assets of the company.
Hasting did address the rumors of Duchess, Meghan Markle going back to acting. Hasting said that the couple is concentrating on becoming producers and that it is unlikely Meghan will pick up her old craft.

The couple will be producing television shows, children’s programs, documentaries and many more that will tackle numerous important topics the world is facing today. Rumors have it that production of an animated series that aims to empower women are already in the works.
