Prince William and Kate Middleton were, reportedly, not at home when a woman’s body was found outside Kensington Palace on August 29.

According to reports, the cause of the woman’s death is still undetermined and an investigation is still underway.

“Police were called to Kensington Gardens W2 at 7:09 am on Saturday, 29 August to a report of the concern for the safety of a woman. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but is not thought to be suspicious. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Inquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the deceased,” a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said.

According to Town & Country, the woman’s body was found in the Round Pound, which sits near the edge of Kensington Gardens.

The incident, reportedly, took place while Prince William, Middleton, and their kids were at Balmoral visiting Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

However, it is unclear if Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank were in the area at that time because they also live on the palace grounds.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton also made headlines this week after she shared her candid thoughts about her kids going back to school. In March, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were homeschooled amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And there were initial claims that they will continue to be homeschooled this school year amid fears that their health could be put at risk. However, Prince George and Princess Charlotte officially returned to school last week.

“I think every parent is breathing a sigh of relief that school has started again. Five months – it’s been wonderful, but it’s been a long five months,” Prince William said.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are studying at Thomas’s Battersea.

Last summer, Middleton told BBC that she didn’t tell her kids that it was Easter Sunday. As such, Prince George and Princess Charlotte just continued with their lessons as normal.

“Don't tell the children, we've actually kept it going through the holidays. I feel very mean,” she said.

But when it was finally safe to travel with their kids, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also made sure to make the most out of their summer. They traveled to the Isle of Sicily as a family.
