Coronation news has been bugging the royal family ever since the pandemic started. Queen Elizabeth II who is now 94 years old has been the longest-reigning monarch in the history of British royalty, her next-in-line to the throne, son, Prince Charles is now 71 years old and has become the longest heir apparent after overtaking grandfather King Edward VII.
According to royal experts, Prince Charles is becoming impatient. The Prince has voiced out his concern regarding his time becoming the King.
Many close to the royal has said that the Prince has expressed his worry regarding the crowning multiple times now. The Prince at 71 will be the oldest newly crowned King, and Prince Charles is afraid that he will pass before even becoming King.
Although sources have said that Prince Charles' impatience is all in good jest, they believe that his purpose in life is to truly become King.
In 2012, in a movie recorded by Prince Charles House, Clarence house, and was released on their website, the prince mentioned about his heir apparent status.
“Impatient? Me? What a thing to suggest! Yes of course I am. I’ll run out of time soon. I shall have snuffed it if I’m not careful”, mentioned Prince Charles. At the time of this recording, the prince was 64.
The Prince also told the late Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer regarding him inheriting the 8th Earl Spencer title at a young age. Commenting how fortunate Charles Spencer was for inheriting the title early.
The palace has yet to comment on the coronation of Prince Charles, but many believe that it might happen quite soon. The age of the Queen, as well as the health, has put on a lot of pressure on the royal officers.
Prince Charles, as well, who is getting older, who’s health is also a major concern for the family. Allegedly, Prince Charles will abdicate his title as King and pass it on directly to his son, Prince William.
There is also concern regarding the ascension, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has no title. The couple chose to do so, but once Charles accedes the Queen and becomes King, Archie will have no choice but to carry a title.
The 1-year-old tot will be known as ‘His Royal Highness, Prince Archie of Sussex’, which is concerning to Harry and Meghan as they choose not to give their children titles.
Prince Charles is currently back in London at Clarence House and has resumed face to face engagements.
