Rumors of the Queens health deteriorating has been circulating since the pandemic started. As the longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, at 94 has been in service to the British people for over 70 years. The pandemic has worried many of the royal followers as they believe that this might put a demise on the Queen’s health.
The Queen is currently spending her summer holidays in Balmoral in Scotland, a tradition for the Queen and husband, Prince Phillip, 99.
The royal family went up to Scotland in the past weeks to visit the Queen and Prince Philip. The first ones to visit were Prince William and Kate and their three children.
This was followed by Prince Andrew, who was said to have gone up to Balmoral to talk to his royal parents regarding the scandal he is involved in. The other children and grandchildren of the Queen and Philip were not present but has sent their regards to the Queen.
The rumors of the Queen not going back to Buckingham Palace anytime soon and handing her royal duties to Prince Charles, heir apparent, seems to be true. This has also sparked coronation rumors.
The royal website has updated the plans of the Queen over the year and it revealed that the Queen will be cutting her stay in Balmoral short.
The Queen stays in Balmoral until early October but has decided to go back to Windsor Castle before September ends and will resume some activities from Windsor. The Queen also plans to have a few engagements in Buckingham palace but will permanently stay in Windsor for the time being.
"The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will depart Balmoral Castle during the week commencing September 14 to spend time privately on the Sandringham Estate. Subject to the finalization of the autumn program, Her Majesty's intention is to return to Windsor Castle in October and to resume the use of Buckingham Palace for selected audiences and engagements”, A Buckingham Palace spokesman revealed.
The Palace has yet to reveal any news regarding the coronation of Prince Charles. The Prince and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall has resumed face to face engagements last month.
Camilla was highly regarded on her last face to face engagement, the Duchess took over a historic duty as she replaces the Duke of Edinburgh as the Colonel-In-Chief of the Rifles, a division that the Duke of Edinburgh was a patron of.
The future King has also gone back to London, to Clarence House and has been taking over his mother’s royal obligations.
