The pandemic has ravaged the world in over 6 months now, and the once ‘normal’ life has been thrown off the cliff. But the acceptance of the new normal has created new ways for people to go back to their outside life. Just like anyone, the royals too are affected by the pandemic.
Prince William and Kate have been very busy homeschooling their children since the lockdowns happened. England has recently opened their schools back, which meant that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be sending their children back to school.
Princess Charlotte and Prince George are said to be back in London as their new school year will open back up again.
The royal children of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge both go to school at Thomas’s Battersea in South London. The private school has a $24,000 yearly fee.
According to teachers from the school and those close to the Cambridges, the two royals are treated like any other kid in the school. They both go with a surname, which is not rare for royals when they go to school.
Princess Charlotte, whose full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and is known as Her Royal Highness, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, only goes by the name Charlotte at school.
Her older brother, Prince George, has the full name of George Alexander Louis, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
Because the two royals need a surname in school, they both go by Cambridge.
This is also the case of Prince Harry and Prince William when both of them were in school. They went by the surname ‘Wales’ because of their father’s title ‘Prince of Wales’. The two also carried the surname when they both served for the Army and Airforce respectively.
William and Kate also drop their kids of personally and sources told Vanity Fair that both of them are very friendly. William especially loves to talk to other parents and even go with them to work out.
Unlike his cousins, Archie, son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He does not carry any title and carries the name Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. His surname is from his great-grandfather and great-grandmother, Prince Philip’s surname was Mountbatten and Queen Elizabeth’s surname is Windsor.
Archie does not hold any title as well, but that may change once his grandfather, Prince Charles becomes King. He may also be known as, His Royal Highness, Prince Archie of Sussex.
