The historic Harry and Meghan Markle deal that Netflix struck is still making its rounds in news networks. The deal, which marks the couple’s desire to flourish in the Hollywood scene is expected to either crash or burn or be as successful as that of Obama’s deal with the streaming giant.

According to royal experts, the Netflix deal is subject to scrutiny from Royal officials. Despite Harry and Meghan announced that they were quitting their senior royal duties last January 2020, they are not completely legally free from consequences.

Royal officials are there to make sure that the financial conquests of the Sussex’s outside that of the Royal family and public funds, will not tarnish the name of the British Royal family.

A source spoke to ‘Mirror’ and said that, “Harry and Meghan did leave as working members of the family with everyone's best wishes and it is sincerely hoped they find the happiness that appeared to be lacking in their lives. However, it goes without saying any deals they are making will be scrutinized by the royal household. Under the terms of their deal to forgo their royal duties, they agreed any commercial deals would be subject to discussion.”

The couple was green-lighted to start commercial deals in January 2020 but these ventures are to be reviewed by the Queen and her household after a year.

A meeting between the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry, dubbed as the Sandringham Summit will also resume in January 2021 to assess the Sussex’s life outside the royal family.

It is said that the summit will be an annual meeting between the head royals.

Harry and Meghan released a statement when the news broke out that they signed a deal with Netflix. In the statement, they talk about their vision for the deal.

The couple will build there own media production company and will invest their time and money on scripted TV shows, documentaries, children programs, and many more that will bring awareness to the problems faced by today’s world.

The move by the Sussex has been scrutinized by many UK taxpayers. The two are yet to pay for $3 million back to the UK government after they refurbished there home, Frogmore Cottage, in London.

Their deal with Netflix, many believe is just another failed venture of the two and that the couple is cashing on their Sussex Royal brand.

Harry and Meghan are currently residing in Montecito, Santa Barbara, California since July this year.
