While Sharon Stone is safe from the pandemic, her sister has been tested negative along with her entire family for COVID-19. The actress' family has been battling against the virus on a personal front and Stone revealed that it went really bad than what she had expected.
The 62-year-old actress opened up in an interview with Nischelle Turner, regarding her upcoming show called Ratched. The actress said that the way the ongoing pandemic has been handled is horrifying. Stone's brother in law, Bruce Singer, and her sister battled against the coronavirus for almost one month.
However, on Aug. 30 both of them have been tested negative for COVID-19. Moreover, the actress lost her godmother and grandmother amid this pandemic because of the virus and joined other millions of Americans who lost the battle against the pandemic.
Stone disclosed that her sister's husband had witnessed much worse symptoms compared to her sister. The entire family had a "tough" time to deal with Singer while thankfully he is healthy now. "I don't think we've had anyone really discuss what it's like to go through it with someone, and I think if anyone really explained it, no one could tolerate that," she said.
The Quick and the Dead star explained further that people assume that after getting contracted by the disease, it gets over and everything gets back to normal. However, she noted that it's not exactly how people have to deal with this virus.
Stone mentioned 75% of people who get heal from the virus, still deals with heart problems. The actress said that she had witness diseases such as AIDS extremely close while working with the unit but COVID-19 is something absolutely discrete.
The actress went on and urged her fans to stay indoors, wear masks, and be safe from the ongoing virus. The upcoming show Ratched will begin on Sept. 18, which she said could help to stay indoors. Ryan Murphy's show will land on Netflix starring Cynthia Nixon, Finn Wittrock, Sarah Paulson, and more.
The horror series will showcase Mildred Ratched's story who is a One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest's heartless nurse. It was created by Ken Kesey in 1975. Paulson will be seen portraying Ratched's character and it is her first collaboration with Murphy.
The 45-year-old actress revealed that it was a "humbling" experience to work with the team and praised Murphy for getting the best actresses such as Judy Davis and Sophie Okonedo on board.
