Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly struggling amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On the “Royals” podcast, experts Angela Mollard and Zoe Burrell said that the royal couple must be having a hard time during the pandemic because they are not in it with the rest of the royal family.
Prince Harry and Markle left the United Kingdom after announcing their decision to quit their royal duties earlier this year. In January, the royal couple moved to Canada but they recently relocated to the United States.
Earlier this month, Mollard also claimed that while most families are getting closer due to the pandemic, Prince Harry feels more separated from the British clan.
“I very much think that Harry will be suffering from irrelevancy. Right now, the world is not focused on them. He can’t do the work that he wants to do. He is separated from his family at a time when the rest of the world is using Zoom or WhatsApp to chat with each other,” she said.
Mollard went on to say that Prince Harry doesn’t have friends in the United States so he must be feeling isolated from his loved ones. Markle, on the other hand, has family and friends in Los Angeles.
Dr. Jane Goodall, who has been in touch with Prince Harry, told Radio Times that he and his wife are finding life in the US a bit challenging at the moment.
Goodall is also convinced that Prince Harry would soon give up hunting because Markle is an animal advocate. And during her encounter with Archie, Goodall tried to make the young boy do the Queen’s wave. When Prince Harry saw what the activist was doing, he said that Archie won’t grow up learning the various royal rules and protocols.
But Lady Julie Montagu, an aristocrat, predicted that Prince Harry won’t have a hard time adjusting to his new life in the US. While speaking with Town & Country, she said that life in the US is very different from life in the United Kingdom.
Americans are reportedly more emotionally open, which could be a very good thing for the Duke of Sussex.
“He'll be able to talk about his feelings, probably more than he was able to talk about over here. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start to hear a little bit more about how he feels about losing his mother at age 12, and maybe how he and Megan were treated in the press over here,” she said.
