Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, together with their son, Archie Harrison have lived away from the UK for close to a year now. Harry uprooted his old royal life for a brand new and hopefully better life with his wife and son in America.

But Harry has also made big sacrifices in order to provide Meghan Markle the life she wanted. The Prince had to move away from his family to start a new one in the US.

According to sources Harry has been homesick for months, although the Prince had been away for months from home, especially during his Army days, the feeling this time is different.

Summer holidays have gone by both in the UK and the US, and a royal tradition, which they have upheld until this day is the summer holidays in Balmoral in Scotland. The royal family uses the Balmoral estate as a summer holiday and as an escape from the busy life in London.

It is traditional for all royals to visit the estate with the Queen and Prince Phillip but due to the pandemic and their new life in America, Prince Harry, unfortunately, could not join his family.

The Prince is said to be ‘frustrated’ at the fact that he could not spend the summer holidays with his brother, Prince William as well as his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, whom the Prince looks up to and calls big sister.

Harry and Kate have a very close relationship since Kate started dating Prince William back in 2008. According to people close to the royal family, Harry sees Kate as a second mother of sort and a best friend.

William and Kate, on the other hand, together with their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis arrived at Balmoral last week and have since joined the Queen and Prince Phillip then. The first time the family members have seen each other since the start of the pandemic.

As for Meghan Markle, royal experts believe that the Duchess is not fazed at all, and is even happy that they could not go to Balmoral for the summer holidays.

"Meghan doesn’t feel like she’s missing out. She’s been too busy decorating their new Montecito mansion”, A source revealed to Intouch Weekly.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have recently moved houses from Los Angeles to a sprawling $14.7 million mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara, California. The couple has been working on their repertoire in Hollywood thus the move to Santa Barbara.
