In the wake of Princess Diana’s death anniversary, an old interview of Prince William has resurfaced. Princess Diana was one of the most beloved royals in the history of the British Monarchy, she was dubbed as the ‘Peoples Princess’, known for her warmth and ever philanthropic ways, her sudden passing came as a shock to the world.

Princess Diana has two children she shares with Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry.

Both the Princes are now fathers to their own children and they have been known to have brought up their children with their mother in their mind.

Prince William who is the father of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis was interviewed for the documentary ‘Diana, Our Mother: Her Life And Legacy’, wherein the Prince shared his opinion on how he saw Princess Diana as a grandmother.

“She’d be a nightmare grandmother, an absolute nightmare. She’d love the children to bits, but she’d be an absolute nightmare. She’d come, probably at bath time, cause an amazing scene, bubbles everywhere, bathwater all over the place, and then leave. But after joking, he did admit that Princess Diana would certainly “have been a lovely grandmother”, Prince William said.

In the documentary, Prince William also shared that he keeps the memory of his late mother as alive as possible, and integrated his memory of hers to his children.

He said in the documentary that she keeps photos of ‘Granny Diana’ in their homes and that he shares stories of Princess Diana to his three kids in detail. He also shared that it might be a struggle for his wife, Kate Middleton, to share stories of Diana as she never met the late Princess.

Prince Harry, William’s younger brother was much more close to Diana that he ever was. As the second-in-line to the throne, William was brought up around his father more than Harry.

Harry is also known to be very alike to Diana when it came to family and personal life.

Although Diana’s life was one for the movies, she also endured many hardships, as a young noblewoman married into royalty at 19, she was lost in her ways.

The Princess was known to be a little bit of a rebel, which was said to have not pleased Charles. Her marriage to the Prince did not last long, and after less than a decade they filed for divorce.

Prince William also explained in the documentary the trauma he still has regarding his parent's marriage as well as his mother’s death.
