In a very exquisite move, Lauren Alaina, 25, is using her craft in music to express her side of the story from the recent breakup she went through. In the singer's forthcoming extended play entitles 'Getting Over Him,' she incorporated vital details of "loving myself through other people not loving me and not staying with me."

Alaina virtually sits with Hollywood Life for an exclusive interview, where the 'American Idol' season 10 runner-up talked about letting her songs speak for her feelings and story.

The interview went on with the singer revealing that she underwent a "very public breakup" before joining 'Dancing With The Stars," and it was a breakup she'd never want to experience again. According to the 'Like My Mother Does' singer, it was a bad breakup, making it more difficult for her to appear on national television every week with a mask on her face only to put on a good show.

Furthermore, since she didn't know what to do with it, she kept quiet by never commenting on it or talking about the split. She best did at that time to internalize everything that happened because various versions of the story started coming out online.

Alaina continued to reveal that while competing on the show, she simultaneously dealt with various emotions that put her state at its sole peak. At that time, he felt like she needed to find and give time for herself to process everything that she's been through, leading her to let all her emotions and feeling out through music.

She further said that her being silent about the matter didn't waste because she has an extended play coming out soon. "I don't speak to my ex anymore. So this is pretty much the only information he'll be getting from me," she exclaimed.
