Meghan Markle has always been a big advocate of activism before she was married to Prince Harry, Meghan made her name known in movements and organizations that aimed to provide equality, women empowerment and so much more. Now that she is the wife of a royal prince, she has been getting more and more media for her involvement in such causes. But according to reports, Meghan and Harry sometimes don’t see eye to eye.
According to reports, Harry has no plans in getting involved in Meghan's recent ventures. Meghan who has been recently active in promoting women voters to vote in the upcoming election as well as openly talking about politics is said to be unsupported by her own husband.
Prince Harry is not backing his wife in her decision to join political campaigns with respect to his royal family.
The royal family has always been expected and has always kept its neutrality in politics. They are not to meddle with politics.
But ever since the Sussex’ left their senior duties in the Royal family, Meghan has been adamant in going back to her activist ways. She has freshly gathered a new wave of criticisms after she became the key speaker for the initiative ‘When All Women Vote.’
In Meghan’s speech, she talked about bringing change and empowering women to vote in the upcoming presidential election in America. Back in 2016, Meghan had been an avid critic of current POTUS, Donald Trump, saying that he was misogynistic and racist.
Now that she is back in US soil, especially back in her home state, she has been actively doing her part in making sure that women vote and delivering the message that Trump is not a competent president.
She is also going to appear in an interview with Gloria Steinem, feminist and author. A teaser for the interview has been released by media production, MAKER.
In the interview, Ms. Steinem commented on Meghan being happy to be back in the US, which the Duchess agreed, adding that she had many reasons to be very happy now that she is back home. The interview will talk about representation, as well as voting.
Prince Harry on the other hand has also been busy. The Prince is more active in the sports charity world. He has been supporting the Paralympics as well as co-founded the Invictus games.
The couple is currently living in Santa Barbara, California with their one-year-old son, Archie.
