The 10-year on-off, off-on relationship between Ross and Rachel on 'Friends,' inspired the American singer, songwriter, and rapper, Jake Miller, to write and produce a record inspired by their love story. It has been sixteen long years since Rachel hopped into a plane bound for Paris, France, on the significant hit NBC sitcom, but the iconic romance between them is still fresh until today.
In a report by Hollywood Life, Miller considers himself a superfan of the series, leading him to release his new song titled 'Ross and Rachel.' The said track tells the beautiful story of the on-screen lovers that started as good friends, ignoring that Ross already has an eye for Rachel since their high school years. Their admiration for each other led the duo to indulge in a romantic relationship.
Miller has been utilizing Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross' (David Schwimmer) unforgettable scenes to tease his fans about the song on his personal Instagram account. "Started out as friends, only friends but I knew from that moment," the singer expressed his vibe towards the series's first scene. The specific location shows Rachel in her wet bridal dress as she walked into the aisle of Central Park, where he encountered Ross after a very long time.
Furthermore, the chorus sings about the scenes where Ross finds out if Rachel didn't leave him in New York for good. It also depicts scenes of the on-screen couple kissing and falling into each other's arms. While the said record is inspired and dedicated to Anniston and Schwimmer's characters in the series, the story of friends becoming something more remarkable adds to the song's fascinating message.
The singer made known the newest song entry on his official Youtube channel in an audio-video format. At the same time, the scenes that were mentioned above are posted on his personal Instagram as video teasers. The singer is only about two years old when 'Friends' debuted on NBC on September 23, 1994. With all due admiration, the series is for everyone to watch that bottles up ten seasons.
In an interview with People, Miller said that Ross was so in love with Rachel before knowing it. Ross' undying patience in waiting for Rachel to notice his gaze towards her led Miller to write the song. He then added that the music and on-screen duo's relationship speaks so much of a love that progresses.
Anniston and Schwimmer are still yet to comment on Miler's inspiring song.
