Aired on Thursday night (Aug 13), “Prince of Reggaeton,” J Balvin received an award at Premios Juventud 2020 in a pre-taped video. He revealed that he had acquired COVID-19 and has profoundly affected him. As reported on ABC News, the performer spoke in a soft tone voice describing how difficult his days were and the complication he encountered during his fight with coronavirus.

He said that there was a time when he thought it would not hit him, and now that it did, it has affected him very hard. He also sent a message to all his followers to take the virus seriously because it is perilous. He added that everyone should take extra care of themselves because this virus is not a joke.

Most popularly known as J Balvin, Jose Alvaro Osorio is a 35-year-old reggaeton singer born in Medellin, Colombia. He is one of the best-selling Latin artists with more than thirty- five million records worldwide. Balvin has released several Latin pop hits in collaboration with massive stars like Beyoncé Knowles, Nicky Jam, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Black Eyed Peas, etc. During his early age, he developed a keen fascination in music and paid attention to different genres of songs like champeta, reggae, rap, and bachata. After watching several music videos, he then began to develop his dance moves.
