Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Apr. 9 2020. The royal couple plans to keep their celebration a simple and low-key affair amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are scheduled to have a modest wedding anniversary celebration this time around. It will be their 15th wedding anniversary and they have reasons to celebrate especially after the future monarch recovered from the deadly coronavirus attack.
Prince Charles and his wife had gone for quarantine separately after the former tested positive with the virus. Both of them have completed their self-isolation period just a few days before their wedding anniversary.
According to Phil Dampier, a royal expert, the couple is slated to have a low-key affair instead of a grand celebration because of the severe situation, which is also against large gatherings. Dampier said, “The couple will want to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary but it will have to be low-key I’m afraid,” New Idea reports.
The royal expert also added that a party may not be possible in the given scenario. After all, big celebrations and gatherings are unlikely now. He also observed that Prince Charles and the love of his life appeared worried and strained. When the coronavirus pandemic began, they were no different from anyone else. Camilla and her husband even made hilarious remarks about it. However, things have changed because no family member is being flippant about the virus at present.
Last month, the duo had gone on a visit to London Transport Museum. Chris Ship, one of the royal correspondents uploaded a picture of the Duchess that had a funny caption. The Duchess of Cornwell captioned the photo as “I’m self-isolating” while she was at the museum.
Incidentally, Prince William, Kate Middleton’s husband made a similar funny remark to Joe Mooney, who is a paramedic. However, his humor was not appreciated by some royal followers.
On the other hand, several netizens did not mind about Camilla and Prince William’s flippant comments. One of the users had even remarked that many people make hilarious comments in bad circumstances.
