Princess Anne’s life has been put at risk on more than one occasion.

In 1974, Princess Royal almost got kidnapped. And earlier this year, her stalker threatened to hurt her.

According to New Idea, police apprehend James Ballinger, who was found at Princess Anne’s house in Gatcombe Park in February.

Before the stalking incident, Ballinger, reportedly, made several calls to UK’s emergency number. He claimed that Princess Anne was controlling his mind by moving his satellites.

Police apprehended Ballinger but they found him unarmed. He was charged with stalking Queen Elizabeth’s only daughter.

In June, Ballinger threatened Princess Anne again while he was out on bail. Following his second arrest, the stalker admitted that his comments were grossly offensive and menacing.

His lawyer, Lee Mott said that his client doesn’t remember calling UK’s emergency number. Ballinger also apologized through Mott for threatening Princess Anne.

Ballinger has, reportedly, been sentenced to attend a mental health and alcohol issues program. He is also required to adhere to a six-month exclusion order that prevents him from entering Gatcombe Park.

Princess Anne has never addressed the stalking incident, as well as Ballinger’s threats. But she has been making headlines recently because she will soon celebrate her 70th birthday.

The royal family has started paying tribute to the mom of two by sharing her throwback photos on the official Instagram page.

A new documentary about Princess Anne also aired recently to commemorate her special day. In the clip, her second husband and children were interviewed.

Peter Phillips revealed that Princess Anne used to give him and Zara Tindall a clip around the ear every time they misbehaved in public. Princess Anne also used to instruct her children not to look bored on the balcony during their public appearances.

Tindall also said that one of her fondest memories was when she and her cousins who hang out together. They were all photographed hanging out at the balcony throughout the years.

According to Express, there was even a time when Tindall tried to console a young Prince William, who was acting out while they were at a royal engagement.

Princess Anne also, reportedly, urged Prince William to behave, but he didn’t follow her orders.

Years later, it was Princess Anne’s granddaughter, Savannah Phillips that made headlines while standing on the balcony. The young girl hilariously covered Prince George’s mouth while they were at the Trooping the Colour.
