The family of Naya Rivera is in the process to ensure that the memories of the four-year-old Josey stay intact. Rivera death marked 30 days on Aug. 13 since her body was discovered in the Lake Piru. The actress was missing since July 8 after she decided to spend quality time with her son in California.
A close source to the family revealed that the time is extremely difficult for the loved ones and all the family members. However, her son is coping without her mother and getting better day by day. Ryan Dorsey who shared Josey with his ex-wife Rivera has taken complete responsibility.
The four-year-old spends all the time with his father. Although Nickayla, Rivera's sister also spends time with the little one. Considering the situation, the source disclosed that the young one is doing better now. In fact, there are days when Josey spends the entire day just like he used to do before.
Josey is big enough to understand that his mom is no more with him and he acknowledges the fact that she is dead, the source explained. "Ryan’s whole world is Josey right now. Ryan is still grieving and is very much struggling with the loss of Naya, but he stays strong and keeps going for the sake of his son. Ryan would do anything for Josey," the source added.
As per the source, the 37-year-old actor has always been involved with his son's activities. However, he is more concerned and spending time with his son. At the moment, the actor wants to avoid any public appearances and lay low.
It seems that Dorsey is focused on navigating his life through the new normal. The source revealed that the father and son mention Rivera on a daily basis because they want Josey to remember his mother and all the great memories he had.
The family wants his late mother to continue being essential like before. Dorsey never dodges any questions regarding the late 33-year-old actress and answer everything that the little one asks. While the source says that the time is difficult for the family, everyone is trying to make the situation light and bring laughter.
There was a private funeral held for the late Glee actress and she was finally put to rest in peace in Los Angeles at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The death certificate revealed that the actress was dead within a couple of minutes as she drowned in the lake.
