America Got Talent has shown great enthusiasm even during the ongoing pandemic. The judges of the reality TV show opened up in an interview and explained how they are filming the show amid coronavirus.
Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell spoke about the safety precautions taken during the shooting. The host Terry Crews also joined the judges to talk about the live show and how the competition takes place.
Cowell told Kevin Frazier that the team of America's Got Talent was having a discussion and he thought that the show might go off-air for a while. “I mean, there are so many hoops you gotta go through, right? But I think we pulled it off. It's going to look different than any other previous year. It's gonna be big, it's gonna be entertaining, it's gonna be wild, it's gonna be unpredictable, but I love that,” Cowell said.
The 60-year-old television personality admitted that he loves the thrill that seemed to be a roller coaster ride for him. He revealed that even before the shoot the team knew that it was going to be challenging but they were all set for it.
Cowell went on and explained that all the members of the crew and staff are tested regularly and put on a mask. He revealed that their testing has been done recently and everybody ensures that there is a safe distance maintained.
However, Cowell emphasized on providing a great and fun show to the audience at the end of the day. He ensured that the contestants in the show are stunning and excited to perform. The veteran judge believed that it was a miracle that everyone on the show managed to accomplish the final output so well.
On the other hand, Vergara is a newbie on the panel of judges. She admitted that being new helped her to get comfortable with the new normal. The 48-year-old actress explained that it is difficult to figure out a difference between what used to happen before the pandemic on the show.
Vergara took the burden off from her shoulders and said that she just follows the rest of the judges as they are professional when it comes to reality shows. She acknowledged that they are doing America's Got Talent from the last 15 seasons and came a long way.
The Modern Family star said that she loves being a part of the show and see contestants who come with big dreams. However, Cowell is currently recovering from his accident and won't be available for the shoot for a couple of days.
