The royal family hasn’t been very appreciative of some of the royals stepping down from their senior royal duties and moving away. From time to time, the Queen gave signals that she wasn’t going to hand over the royal benefits to those who chose a different path to tread on.
Along the way, one more decision of a similar sort has recently been made.
The links to the social media accounts of Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle were available on the royal family’s official website for a long time after their stepping down, but no longer.
The tabs containing the links to the social media pages of royal dropouts on the royal website have been removed by the royal family. This move is the latest addition to the royal family’s set of strict actions to condemn royals who chose a new life for themselves leaving the royal duties behind.
Apparently, the Queen is sending messages to the royal dropouts that the royal privileges are only for those who continue to serve in the royal duties, and all those who decide to walk out are considered to be an independent entity who can't be put together with working royals.
Earlier this year, the Queen stripped Markle and Harry of their royal titles and even banned them for using the word ‘royal’ for their future ventures.
In contrast to Queen’s hyperactive behavior, the royal dropouts have generally remained silent about the issues – even their social media accounts have been all but inactive. The Duke of Wales hasn’t been seen on his twitter since he stepped down from his role in November 2019.
Quite in line with Prince Andrew, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Sussex royal account hasn’t seen a single post since March 2020.
While the Queen is on the move, the royal dropouts have been busy getting on with their new life and troubles.
Prince Andrew is finding ways to prove his side in the case of sexual misconduct related to late sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein. And Prince Harry and Markle have been catching up with the climate of the new LA lifestyle with their son Archie. Besides personal life, the pair has been pouring in a tremendous amount of effort into their global charity and business.
The two royal groups are going in the opposite ways. Hence, there are no signs of reunion and the gap between dropouts and the royal family has only been widening.
