Prince Charles could, reportedly, receive a huge sum of money following Queen Elizabeth’s death.
While the heir to the throne is still in mourning, he would already be able to rake in a huge sum of money as part of a secret settlement plan. Since he is legally married to Camilla, the latter will also benefit from whatever her husband would receive following the queen’s demise.
During his interview with New Idea, former British government minister Norman Baker confirmed that Prince Charles would secure a good deal when the sad day comes.
“There will be a complete outpouring of sorrow when the Queen dies and the monarchy will go up in popularity as a consequence. In the meantime, Charles will negotiate with the treasury a settlement for his reign. He will be doing that in secret, of course, while the monarchy is popular. He will secure a good deal,” he said.
According to reports, the queen also received a generous sum of money in 1952 following the death of King George VI.
Back then, the queen, reportedly, made a historic deal with then prime minister, Winston Churchill. It was the first time that ever that a monarch was exempted from tax on dividend income. The deal also gave Her Majesty an extra income in billions between 1952 and 1993.
Meanwhile, there have been tons of speculations regarding the queen’s death. Tabloids have been saying that the monarch only has a few years or even months to live.
National Enquirer previously claimed that Buckingham Palace is just hiding the fact that the queen is dying.
“Her Majesty’s heart is failing badly and she was given months, maybe only weeks, to live. It was a terrible blow, but Elizabeth took it in stride and brushed off all talk of canceling the broadcast. She said duty must always come first,” the source said.
Back then, the tabloid also claimed that Prince Charles has already been informed about his mother’s condition. And he has been summoned to start the preparations for the queen’s funeral.
Prior to the queen’s alleged demise, she is requesting her grandsons, Prince William and Prince Harry to make amends.
“She begged William and Harry to make peace for the sake of the monarchy and told them their feud is breaking her heart. She scolded the boys’ wives, Kate and Meghan, for their role in the troubles and ordered them to make peace. Kate broke into tears – but Meghan didn’t say a word,” the source said.
However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. The queen isn’t dying.
