As part of a Wizards of Waverly Place reunion, Selena Gomez and David Henrie reunited through Instagram, as he posted a new video to his social media account with the caption, "Hmm @selenagomez." In the footage, the 31-year-old actor is seen saying "Hmmm" while standing in front of a grass-laden green wall.
The camera moves on the other side of the grassy wall showing Gomez saying "Hmmm." Henrie sported a grey and white plaid button-up shirt in the clip, where he meets his co-star. Gomez, who made a brief appearance in the video, donned a white top and smiled for the camera, suggesting that Justin and Alex Russo have something exciting under their sleeves.
Gomez and Henrie posted a teaser from an impending project, as the Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars filmed a socially distant video together. With a grassy wall in between them, both Gomez,28, and Henrie,31, appeared to be on a set.
The footage that Henrie posted to his Instagram account, and Gomez posted to her Instagram Story does not spill the beans on the upcoming project. The co-stars refrained from sharing any other hint about their next project, but Henrie did reveal how much he wanted to work with the "We don't talk anymore" songstress in an interview with ET Now.
He revealed that he and Selena have a reboot, referring to the Wizards of Waverly Place reboot. While he admitted that it is not formal at the moment, he and Gomez sit and talk about what the reboot would be about, claiming they have a whole take, a whole thing.
Gomez, who recently returned after a weeklong hiatus from social media, had posted a short clip to greet his followers. She acknowledged the fact that she hasn't been posting regularly and wanted to remind her followers that she loves and misses them.
She concluded the message saying she has several exciting things coming up and is waiting with bated breath to share more details with them all. Wizards of Waverly Place revolved around the Russo family, with Gomez playing Alex and Henrie playing Justin Russo.
Henrie said their idea of a reboot would show the Russo family members divided after the show went off the air in 2012. The final episode showed Alex, played by Gomez was chosen as the new family wizard.
While at first glance they appeared to be a normal family running an average restaurant, behind closed doors, the three siblings locked horns to be the next family wizard. With more than 106 episodes from 2007 to 2012, the Disney Channel show ran for four years before it went off the air.
