The US Presidential election will take place on November 3, 2020 (Tuesday). For the record, it will be the 59th quadrennial presidential election. Ballot Pedia revealed the four pronounced elected officials and public figures running for the position: Joe Biden, Howie Hawkins, Jo Jorgensen, and Donald Trump.
Twenty-seven-year-old rapper, Cardi B, was vocal about her feelings on the idea of Trump running for reelection on November 3. As reported on Music News, she said she can no longer deal with Trump having to sit for another term as president and would probably have a mental breakdown if he gets reelected. She also emphasized that it's not only the people she is concerned about but also the future of America.
Looking back on Cardi's interview with Teen Vogue in January this year, the conversation led to politics, given that 2020 is an election year. It said how he called out Trump for arguing with celebrities instead of responsibly leading the country. She explained the duties of a US President and that behavior is unnecessary, including being messy on social media. What Trump displays as a president is not her ideal leader because she thinks that if you do not care about ALL of the Americans.
According to Hollywood Life, Cardi was initially rooting for US Senator Bernie Sanders, who dropped out of the presidential race early this year. She was confident about Bernie Sanders because she believes that there's proof that the person has been doing what he is doing for years. Like genuinely cares about the people and the minorities and has the perfect intentions. Cardi was devastated during Sanders' dropout and held some Americans responsible for not showing up to vote in the primaries. She also thinks that this generation is too lazy to vote, even if they do want something to happen or change.
Cardi is now backing US Presidential candidate Joe Biden who served as the 47th VP in the US from 2009 to 2017. He is a Democratic candidate who placed Trump behind him in the polls following a controversial term that has been bedeviled by allegations of racism, corruption, and criticism of Trump's response to the Coronavirus pandemic. In national surveys, Biden has a stable lead as per BBC. He is leading the numbers in the battleground states, but things can quickly change since there's still a long way to go. On the brighter side, polls suggest Joe Biden has huge leads in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
