Meghan Markle’s 39th birthday was distinct from the previous ones in a number of ways.
This time, she celebrated her birthday with her husband Prince Harry and their child Archie in their new house in Los Angeles, unlike last year’s royal celebration in the royal family. However, the members of the royal family didn’t want her to feel away from home, so they all posted their lovely messages wishing Markle a happy birthday.
The Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie delved into it and discovered something interesting.
According to the Fiorito and Bowie, Queen’s way of wishing Markle differed from how other royals wished her. Ms. Bowie told that royal birthdays are spectacular because they turn the social media cheerful.
She added on to say that Queen’s message was the only one that stood out to her, in other words, it was the most special. The host has dubbed Queen’s message as the ‘show of support.’
Ms. Fiorito recalled the moment when the Queen and the Duchess sat beside each other – talking, laughing, and sharing adorable moments. The Duchess of Sussex had joined the Queen on a visit to Chesire in the year 2018, it was less than a month after she got married.
The happy faces infused a message of love and harmony in the atmosphere. It was so kind, considerate, and nice of the Queen to select those moments to wish Markle for her most important birthday.
This was the first time the Queen and Markle engaged in a moment together without Prince Harry – an ‘important’ solo engagement for both of them. In contrast, the Queen’s first solo engagement with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton came about after over a year of her marriage.
About Queen’s thoughtful gesture, Ms. Fiorito said that for the ‘Queen to cherry-picked those’ stands synonymous with huge support to Markle who has set out on a new journey with Prince Harry.
The Queen showed her entire support as well as disapproval when the Sussexes decided to step back from their senior royal duties while also expressing her preference to have them stick to their royal roles.
It was sure that the Queen didn’t want the pair to leave the royal premise, but even after their departure the Queen’s love, caring, and elderly-angry attitude appear to be entirely intact. What royal fans want so badly is the reunion of the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex to cherish again.
