Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly bound to destroy whatever relationship they have left with Queen Elizabeth and Prince William following the release of their book.
While speaking with You, a source said that Finding Freedom will most likely upset Queen Elizabeth. The book, written by authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Duran will also worsen Prince William and Prince Harry’s already broken relationship.
“The book will upset the queen, alienate every other member of The Firm and the palace, entrench the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William, and drain any dregs of public good feeling towards the couple,” the source said.
In the book, sources revealed that Prince Harry became upset when Prince William encouraged him to not rush into marrying Markle.
The Duke of Cambridge also reportedly used the term “this girl” instead of saying Markle’s name, and this infuriated the Duke of Sussex.
Following the incident, Prince Harry reportedly branded his brother as a snob. After all, his training in the military taught him not to make any judgments based on a person’s gender, race, ethnicity, color, class, and profession.
However, some royal experts defended Prince William by saying that it wasn’t his intention to hurt his brother’s feelings. Rather, he was simply being protective of Prince Harry.
Royal expert Richard Kay also reacted to Prince Harry calling his brother a snob.
“Branding someone a snob is an extraordinary slur about anyone. About a brother – and one who was in all probability only trying to look out for his brother – is brutal,” he said.
Royal author Katie Nicholl branded Finding Freedom as ill-judged. She also said that the book is damaging to the rest of the royal family. It is also opened old wounds that the royal family may have been trying to forget about.
Nicholl also commented on reports that Prince Harry and Markle wanted to ambush the queen at Sandringham after she postponed their meeting.
But instead of waiting for the monarch, the royal couple decided to announce that they were quitting The Firm.
Nicholl said that the decision to quit cannot solely be blamed on Markle. After all, Prince Harry has always wanted to quit The Firm to have a private life.
After marrying Markle, he was simply emboldened by his wife to push through with his desire to quit.
“Harry is pretty opinionated and strong-willed. It wasn’t just Meghan dragging Harry away. She gave him new confidence but I think the truth is that, for a long while, Prince Harry has wanted out,” she said.
