One more time, Guillermo del Toro is apparating over to Netflix to cook up an animation adventure titled Trollhunters: The Rise of the Titans. The movie is set to be released in 2021 under the banner of Netflix and Dream Works animation.
According to del Toro, the animated adventure will run as a conclusion to the television trilogy he created Tales of Arcadia – the trilogy includes Trollhunters, 3below, and the third series debuting today on Netflix Wizards. Since the movie will be connected to the series, the setting for the story will be the same as the series’ fictional suburb of Arcadia.
The animation-adventure series first debuted in the year 2016. The uncommon story of the series revolves around three friends who discover that under the surface of their hometown lies an unknown world where good trolls battle the bad.
In a statement, del Toro said that team Trollhunters is all for expanding the boundaries and impact of 3D CGI animation in the world of television. In addition, Trollhunters: The Rise of the Titans is a method to finish things off in style – first, they gave the audience three interconnected entertaining series and now, the time has come to top it all off with an ‘epic-sized feature film.’
