Joey King called out her co-star as he claimed regarding the latest Netflix release, The Kissing Booth 2. Jacob Elordi recently claimed that he never saw the movie in which he played the lead opposite King. However, the claim didn't go well with the leading lady of the film.
Elordi mentioned in an interview with Variety that he didn't watch the recent installment of the rom-com series released last month on Netflix. The 23-year-old actor portrayed the love interest and lead of the movie.
The actor was asked about the ending of The Kissing Booth 2 and he had a response that shocked not only the fans but also the cast members. "I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t. Do you like it?" He replied.
King didn't find truth in Elordi's reply and she took Twitter to turn down the false claim. The 21-year-old actress said that he watched the movie but he is "capping". However, she deleted the tweet after a while.
Fans enjoyed this playful conversation they had on social media which happened after the creators revealed about the third installment of the movie is going to release in 2021. The creators confirmed that the on-screen couple will be seen again soon.
Elordi and King's romance is loved by the fans while one of the reasons the couple is adored on-screen is due to the real-life bond. The couple was vocal about the off-screen romance they had for one and a half years.
The duo started dating each other after the filming of the first installment but in 2018 they ended their relationship. King told Katie Krause that everybody is curious about what she is doing in her personal life. She admitted that this spotlight pressurizes her love life as well.
However, she noted that people make stars feel that they owe others "explanations" regarding their personal life. There are rumors that King's new love interest in real life is Taylor Zakhar Perez, who also co-stars in The Kissing Booth 2.
During the promotion of the latest released installment, Perez praised King but denied that romance brewing between them. However, he recalled during the interview that they had dinner together in South Africa.
Perez also mentioned about cooking meals for each other. The 28-year-old admitted that he loves her and willing to do anything for her but as a "best friend".
