Prince Harry is reportedly worried for the rest of his family in the UK, especially now that Prime Minister Boris Johnson also tested positive for the virus and is now in intensive care.
Express UK reports that although Prince Harry has distanced himself from his duties as a senior member of the royal family, he definitely misses them and hopes they are doing well. His father, Prince Charles, has earlier announced that he was positive for COVID-19 but is already on the way to recovery after experiencing mild symptoms.
Added to the fact is that Harry is not in the UK right now, having moved to Canada earlier, and then now in Los Angeles. With the lockdown measures in place, there is no way he can go back to the country to see how his family is doing. He may be concerned not just for his father, but his grandparents as well. They are more vulnerable to the infection as they are in their senior years.
He may be using technology to be in touch with his family, as reported in Entertainment Online. There have been no photographs yet of Harry or his wife actress Meghan Markle and son, Archie in Los Angeles. Of course, there is a stay-at-home mandate for everyone in the state, in order to stop the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, in the UK, the rest of Harry's family are trying to do their best to fulfill their duties despite the lockdown. Queen Elizabeth gave a rare televised speech meant to encourage and give hope in this time of crisis. She says that better days will return and that they can overcome with unity.
The other royals are also stepping up. Before going into lockdown in Norfolk, Prince William and Kate Middleton were able to visit an ambulance service. They also called the Queen's Hospital Burton to express their appreciation for the staff and to offer their condolences. The hospital is where the first UK doctor to die from the virus worked and two wanted to empathize with the hospital's loss. Aside from that, the couple has expressed their desire to continue representing the royal family amidst the crisis, but they will be doing so virtually.
As for Harry and Meghan, the recently sent a farewell post in their Instagram account as March 31 marked their official last day as senior members of the royal family. They have made Los Angeles as their base but have yet to announce what their future plans are.
