The 35-year-old soon-to-be-mommy and 'Smile' singer, Katy Perry, flaunted her gorgeous belly bump in People's Magazine cover on August 5 (Wednesday). The American singer shared her incredible journey towards being a mother and curating her forthcoming album 'Smile.'
"Every day your options change, and you don't know what's what. Especially being pregnant in a pandemic, it's an emotional rollercoaster," Katy shared to People when asked about her thoughts of crating 'Smile' and being pregnant amid the coronavirus scare.
As per Billboard, referencing Katy's interview with People, the super pop star was forced to defer 'Smile's' release. According to Katy, 'Smile' is the story of her journey towards finding the light as she wrote most of the songs during one of the darkest moments of her life. The 'Thinking of You' singer is pertaining to her first breakup with actor Orlando Bloom, who is now her fiancé. 'Smile' follows her mild album in 2017 called 'Witness.'
Katy described the making of 'Smile' as "seismic," considering it took over two years to find the right content. Her upcoming album is a product of hard work as she tries to walk in the right path of her mental and spiritual journey.
As per Katy, taking care of one's mental health is very important, and it solely involves proper medication, family support, and the right therapies. Her sentiment is her way of feeling herself up as her firstborn with Orlando is about to pop out from his belly.
'Smile' bottles up several of Katy's pre-releases, including 'Daisies,' 'Harleys in Hawaii,' and 'Never Really Over.' The album will be due on August 28 under Capitol Records.
On the other hand, Katy and Orlando are gearing up for the arrival of their baby girl. Moreover, the singer and the actor are still learning from each other every step of the way. The process is not entirely new to Orlando as he already has a 9-year-old son named Flynn.
In 2017, the duo hit the rocked roads when they decided to split after dating for a year. Katy previously shared with People that they see the breakup now as essential because it made them more durable.
The singer also shared with People that a relationship is a "never-ending evolution." She treats her relationship with Orlando as something beautiful to have, especially that they can show their personalities on different sides.
Despite their “hell-like” relationship process in the past, the couple nearing to be parents as the baby will pop out any day.
