Meghan Markle reportedly wanted to ambush Queen Elizabeth in Sandringham during the monarch’s vacation earlier this year.

In the book Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan, and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that the Sussexes scheduled a meeting with the queen on January 6.

However, the queen decided to move their meeting to January 29 because she was hoping that Prince Harry would see some sense.

Following the postponement, Markle reportedly encouraged Prince Harry to barge in on Her Majesty while she was in Sandringham. However, the Duke of Sussex stopped Markle from disrupting the queen’s rest.

A source told New Idea that the queen was hoping that Markle would return to Canada to be with Archie before their meeting. This way, the monarch will have a one on one conversation with Prince Harry.

In the book, the authors claimed that Markle gave up her entire life for the royal family. As such, it’s unfortunate that things didn’t work out for her and the British clan.

But a source for the tabloid said that Markle didn’t like to come second to Kate Middleton. This is why she didn’t want to follow in her in-law’s and Prince William’s footsteps.

“Meg has this ‘nothing is impossible’ attitude, and she once read that Harry told Wills when they were kids that he could be king if Wills didn’t want to, which struck inspiration in her. She felt that she and Harry would make a much more modern king and queen, and I wouldn’t have put it past her to make a run for the throne at some point. She’s patient; she could have waited years to find a weakness and strike. There is a ruthless side to her for sure and if she wanted the crown, she’d have found a way to make it hers,” the source said.

There are also claims that Prince Harry is trapped in a loveless marriage to Markle. But the Duke of Sussex allegedly has so much pride that he will stay married to his wife even though he’s not happy to prove everyone wrong.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. The authors of Finding Freedom previously said that the book will debunk the biggest misconceptions about the couple.

And the claims made by the unnamed sources are evidently based on misconceptions and hearsays.
