When the coronavirus just started intoxicating America in March, the organizers of Sound City deferred the dates from May 1-3 to September. Per The Line Of Best Fit, Pale Waves and Friendly Fires are set to headline the forthcoming September event.
On July 29 (Tuesday), the organizers sadly informed the festival-goers that the September dates would no longer occur. The announcement was made through Liverpool Sound City’s official Twitter account, saying the music festival will be returning next year.
The post starts with, “This is one of the most difficult decisions we ever had to make & we are heartbroken to have to make it.” The organizers also posted a photo graphics of the 2021 new dates: April 30 – May 2. The full statement can be read on soundcity.uk.com/discover.

In an NME report, the forthcoming music festival will be gunned and guided by the government’s new protocol in light of not spreading the coronavirus. The pre-purchased tickets of the festival-goers will still be valid for next year’s new dates at no additional cost.
