Annie Murphy, who plays the role of Alexis Rose in the Canadian television sitcom Schitts Creek expressed her excitement over the show taking over the streaming world and reigning over the impending 2020 Emmy Awards. Aside from that, she revealed what Alexis would be doing right now.

The actress dished out to E! News about Alexis Rose being thriving amid the pandemic, and how her portrayer Annie Murphy is also growing as she was recently nominated for an Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Comedy. The outlet suggests Schitts Creek resident influencer who has more famous friends than someone could even count seems to be living her best life.

"I really do think that she would have just won COVID," Murphy said in an interview with E! News right after the nominations were announced. Murphy went on to say Rose would have wasted no time in taking fifteen of her closest, most famous, and wealthy friends to a yacht and just isolated there, adding that she would be doing just fine without an iota of doubt.

Murphy, however, was not isolated along with fifteen famous friends when she was informed about her Emmy nomination. The 33-year-old Canadian actress was sitting on the floor of the house of one of the show's publicists, eating bacon and pancake before the publicist shouted the exciting news.

Following the news, the actress says they enjoyed a couple of grapefruit mimosas and received several texts and calls, and confirmed that it was overall an awesome experience. With fifteen nominations this year, Schitts Creek is doing quite well at the Emmys.

The show's fifteen nods for the coveted award comprise Eugene Levy in Lead Actor, Dan Levy in Supporting Actor, Catherine O'Hara in Lead Actress, and Murphy in Supporting Actress. In other words, there is a possibility that the Rose family could walk away with the Emmys this year.

In addition to a general amount of freaking out, Murphy's Emmy nom morning featured calls, texts, and FaceTiming. She is glad that the nomination isn't restricted just to the actors, as she points out nom for costumes, makeup, hair, writing, and more during the interview.

Describing this as a truly ultimate way to go out, she noted that a team of talented people has been working hard on the show for six years, and just having them nominated makes all the efforts extremely special. She noted that during the season one of the show on CBC, although they all had the best time, they would have never anticipated things would go well, adding that she feels pretty good about it.
